K, So got back from Mexico last night.
Got there later than usual, like 9:30
. We had a frigging small group, so
everyone got like a whole bunk bed to themselves.
As usual, church was fun and I followed more of the words from the
songs and claped the whole time, as did everyone else, except I think
the Rancho people are used to it. So after that it was of course beach
day. So we were blasting Veggie Tales' "The Dance of
the Cucumber" which is in spanish and is the most random thing ever.
I'll print out the lyrics later. Went rock jumping, but we only went
half way to the end of the beach. No, didn't find any crabs to "eat for
a dollar" but found a dead....something and saw sealions...and yeah.
Monday, pulled up a fence and were trying to dig out the posts. They
were embedded in 3 feet of cement and we drilled and poked and
splintered for hours. Didn't come up with much in the end. But we all
got cancer and died anyway. (inside joke)
Tuesday was a day off. In the morning, went to Ensanda and I hot my
hair done it totally rocks and I wish it would last longer. Then in the
afternoon, we went to a new beach in Ensanada which was just so
beautiful and there were people doing horseback riding and I would have
except I was using my money this time. Yeah, I paid for my whole trip
and it wasn't cheep either. So didn't follow through with that plan.
Wednesday, painted in the morning and did VBS in the afternoon.
Painted classrooms and did Daniel and the lions den again. and made froot
loop necklaces.
thursday, did flashing. No on the roof. No wait, no nm. K, lets just
say it was roofing the barn. then did VBS again, and make lion masks for
the craft.
Friday, did sewing again and I decited I really don't like it too much, but don't mind doing it if that maked any sense.
Inside jokes for the week

Solo Mexico
YAY!!! I'm leaving for Mexico this Saturday and I'm so totally beyond anything that could even begin to describe excited. Maybe because its the only "major" plan I have this summer for the first time. I mean, last year, I went to Maui, Mexico, Pondi and even band camp (don't even think about it

OH yeah! I'm getting my lap top very soon, and its a really nice one too, this is gonna rock here!!

Empty Summer
Man, I really have not a lot
planned this summer. At church, I was just talking with a few of my old
friends, about summer plans and all I've got is Mexico and hopefully a
job to get me started. But then I am getting asked by like 4 or 5
people to counsel at the camp for a week and I have no idea. I mean, I
would love to, but I just don't feel comfterable up at Calvin Crest.
I'm not familar with it and don't really agree with some of its
motives. I was hoping to take next sumer off and work up ay Pondy,
where I am familar. I mean, I've been up there every year for different
things since I was 6. and my dad was up on staff there years ago and I
just have had all of my life changing moments there. Like last summer,
but thats too long of a story to get into now.

Mexican sisters
K, so I'm turning in two job applications today, will finish all of my homework this weekend, and then with this new screwed up short week schedule, might finish my last summer project of redoing my room. I still have some painting to do and some rearranging to do. Yes, I might actually finish this up!!
In case you don't know, I took up the project of totally repainting my room after I moved back downstairs. So, I painted it a light purple with white trim. Now I have to paint the double doors and the door leading to my room white, and finish the trim. And then find a way to let McKenna move in with me cause she really needs to be able to live with someone closer to her age and who has already gone through all of the awful 'girl' stuff an 11-year-old goes through. She is rooming with a 8, 6, and 3 year old. I hope I can help.
So, I'm also going back to Mexico this year and I am so excited to be able to go. I really feel as though I can fully serve and enjoy it at the same time. I have learned some really odd skills in Mexico too. Like, year 1, I learned to prune orchards and to roof. Year 2, I took up sewing most of that week. And then last year, I learned to mud and did a ton of painting. And every year, we did Vacation Bible School for the kids of the ranch. And trying to pretend to know Spanish, learning the colors again using fruit loops. Man, and then there is rock climbing in flip-flops, blasting Veggie Tails in Spanish on the way to to the beach. Oh, and last year, we waited until like 10 or 11 at night and then took the church van and went out into the middle of nowhere, chasing jack rabbits, and field mice, almost flipping a few times...and almost killed ourselves so we could go out and just look at the stars. Man, one night, Cindy and I wandered off toward the backside of the RV parking spaces and laid out there (being cautious of snakes) and just watched the stars for ever it seemed like. That was a totally awesome time. I can't wait.

Band, Mexico
Percussion on Saturday was amazing. The performance part could have been a bit better. For full information of scores, check out www.wgi.org. I really hope we get bumped up to open class. Many hope not, but I think we can handle it. (Or at least I could). I really wished I could have watched some more groups. I watch to learn and because I love percussion music. For those who know me, I absolutely love watching percussion groups. Even more than marching band. And those who know me know I am a marching band fanatic. So take marching band and times that by like a million and a half; that is how much I love percussion. It is my next love next to killer whales.
And spring is 21 days away!!!YAY!!! Dude, I can not stand winter, It's too cold, and wet. I love the summer days. Except this summer, I will be enjoying it in a new way. Considering I will not be here for like a month. I will be on tour with Fever, and for those who know my parents, they are just thrilled. Practice 6 days a week. Well at least, my birthday falls on a Monday and I get it off. So what should I do? Oh, that reminds me, my parents will not let me go to Mexico this year. It is really sad because Cindy and I met in Mexico out first year there.
