At one point, my former friend was determined to become a performing arts major, on the clarinet. On Sundays after church she would take lessons in Stockton, and I would go up there with her. We would grab lunch and I would do homework during her lesson hour. We would often listen to Broadway soundtracks together in the car. She introduced me to one of my favorite shows, Wicked.
